Brooke White – fifth place in Season 7 – has a new CD titled “High Hopes & Heartbreak,” which was released on July 14. I flipped through the songs on iTunes and the sound is pure, vintage 70s-style music. You keep hearing about the similarities between her and Carly Simon and I can definitely hear it in her music. But yet, she still has that Brooke White style. The CD is loaded with piano and guitar playing and nothing else; songwriting appears strong as well. I think I’m going to like this CD. Today’s music has so much electronics behind the singers, you can’t tell if they’re truly pure singers. I believe Brooke is a special singer-songwriter. By the way, the CD was produced by none other than Randy Jackson.
Here is the video of her single, “Radio Radio” – love that smile!
An article in an entertainment online site indicates that “American Idol” judges are still in negotiations with contract talks. The judges go on the road in September, so they still have a few months to work on dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s.
What would you do with the judges?
- Return all four?
- Only have three judges?
- Which judges would you remove?
- Which judges would you keep?
