If you’ve been to iTunes lately, you might have seen that Brooke White has an exclusive iTunes Holiday EP with three Christmas songs: “Christmas in California,” “Blue Christmas” and “Away in a Manger.” Personally, I think “Away in a Manger” is her best effort and it also shows as her most downloaded Christmas tune. However, on YouTube, she has posted a cute acoustic version of “Christmas in California.” She looks relaxed, happy and wears glasses as she performs. Great way to use the wonderful resources of YouTube, Brooke!
Season 7 finalists Brooke White and Michael Johns have already collaborated on a duet titled “Life is Okay,” which can be found on Johns’ latest CD: “Don’t Look Down: The Height of Competition.” Now the two are going on tour together this fall.
White just released the CD “High Hopes & Heartbreak” last month.
The tour will not arrive on the East Coast at all. However, the two will play in Kansas and Iowa in late September.
Brooke White – fifth place in Season 7 – has a new CD titled “High Hopes & Heartbreak,” which was released on July 14. I flipped through the songs on iTunes and the sound is pure, vintage 70s-style music. You keep hearing about the similarities between her and Carly Simon and I can definitely hear it in her music. But yet, she still has that Brooke White style. The CD is loaded with piano and guitar playing and nothing else; songwriting appears strong as well. I think I’m going to like this CD. Today’s music has so much electronics behind the singers, you can’t tell if they’re truly pure singers. I believe Brooke is a special singer-songwriter. By the way, the CD was produced by none other than Randy Jackson.

Brooke White, from Season 7, will release her album “High Hopes & Heartbreak” on July 21. The album’s executive producer is “Idol” judge Randy Jackson. It is Jackson’s first project with an “American Idol” finalist.
According to the “American Idol” website, White has also formed a new indie label, which Jackson is also involved with.
