Season 5’s Bucky Covington (8th place finisher) released a new single today titled “A Father’s Love (The Only Way He Knew How).” It’s a nice country tune and should get some very good radio play. Look for him to sing this on “Idol” during country week.

What do you think of the tune?

Click here to check out this BubbleTweet of Danny Gokey and Matt Giraud hamming it up in front of their web cam. I think I saw imitations of some “South Park” characters, maybe a little Adam Sandler and not sure but there could be other imitations as well. Wow, it was sure funny to watch … I had to watch it again! (I’ll warn you that the intro kind of makes you jump because it’s so loud.)

Several original members of the multi-platinum band Evanescence have formed a new group and Carly Smithson – “Idol” Season 7’s sixth-place finisher – is the lead singer.
You can listen to the first single, “Bury Me Alive,” on the band’s home page at WeAreTheFallen.com. The new single can be downloaded on iTunes or Amazon. Love the band’s cover-picture with Smithson featured.
