She just finished Season 8 (where she was in the top 4) last May and I haven’t heard anything about her upcoming album for a long time … until I saw her picture today. The 17-year-old red-headed rocker attended the “Los Premios MTV 2009″ event on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.
You’ll be hearing a lot about Allison in the coming months. Her new CD is due out Dec. 1 and her first single, “Friday I’ll Be Over U” will be on the radio soon. In fact, I read where bits of the song has already leaked out.

Season four champ Carrie Underwood is going to host a two-hour variety special that will air on Fox in December and one of her musical guests will be another “Idol” champ – David Cook.
According to an Associated Press article, the tentative date is Dec. 7. She will perform new music from her new album (due out Nov. 3), some previous hits and also holiday classics.
Other musical guests include Dolly Parton and Brad Paisley.
Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis has released his new CD and “Sad Song” is the first single. I’ve watched it and listened to it twice and it kind of grows on you. On my first listen, I wasn’t real impressed, but enjoyed it better the second time around. Not sure if I’ll give it a third try or not.
