Archuleta’s dad

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

I saw “Idol” runner-up David Archuleta on “iCarly” the other day (in yet another rerun that was airing at my home). What I didn’t know was that in January, David’s dad had a little run-in with the law. Rolling Stone magzine’s website has an article titled posted on June 18 titled: “American Idol Alum David Archuleta’s Father Busted for Soliciting Prostitute.” (Can you believe all of this fun reading that I missed while on vacation?)

Lambert music out this summer?

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Adam Lambert just can’t stay out of the news. He says in an Associated press story that an album of tunes he recorded before “American Idol” will be out this summer; and he also says that it won’t be anything like what he’s planning now.

Not sure if I like this move by Lambert. It may-could-possibly hurt his sales for his post-”Idol” music. But hey, it’s his choice.

Sexiest reality stars of 08-09 – where’s Alexis?

Monday, June 15th, 2009

BuddyTV.com has posted its “40 Sexiest Reality Stars of the 2008-2009 Season” and a few “American Idol” contestants – and one judge – have made the list. In fact, one “Idol” singer is No. 1!

TV American Idol 36Visit BuddyTV to see where they’re ranked, but I can tell you the following people are on the list: judge Kara DioGuardi; singers Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. How in the world Megan Joy found herself on the list is beyond me. I’ll continue to say that little Alexis Grace (right) is much sexier than Megan Joy and they could have put her in this top 40, especially after her “Dirty Diana” performance.

I wonder what Simon would say: He’s not on the list!
