I’m a little bit surprised with the results tonight. Paige Miles and Katie Stevens skated by and both get another chance after an enormously disappointing performance. Instead, we see two of our blondes: Kathryn Epperly and Lilly Scott depart the show.
Truth be told, I’m not all that upset to see Scott go. I know a lot of fans liked her, but I never bought into her style. Epperly, on the otherhand, had my attention. She has the looks, the voice, the swagger to be force for the ladies. But she never really came out with a wow performance and that’s unfortunate.
For the guys, I was really upset to see Todrick Hall go. He had a solid “Somebody To Love” performance and showed he has the voice to go along with his dancing skills. I would call him a total performance and hopefully somebody notices. I think he’s a better singer than Tim Urban, for sure.
What were you thinking when Andrew Garcia and Alex Lambert were standing side by side? I thought about Garcia’s family, and how he hoped to go far in the competition so he could provide for his family. He took that step forward when Lambert was sent home.
I feel badly for Lambert. He’s a young man and looked devastated.
Garcia, on the otherhand, deserves more chances. I didn’t like what he did this week, but he’s got the voice, for sure. I hope he shows it in the weeks ahead.
So we’re going to sing the Rolling Stones next week. That should be interesting. It definitely fits perfectly for Casey James and Lee DeWyze; of course, Crystal Bowersox will take a song and have fun with it, too. Should be interesting, though.
Now is when “Idol” gets exciting. Did you like the decision by the voters?

I totally agree with you about Todrick. I loved him from the beginning. He truly does give a total performance. I think he could make it big in theater, but I thought his performance was awesome on Wednesday night. I could not understand why the judges told him to hold back on the dancing. It was not like he danced and couldn’t sing; he did both very well!
I think Lily was a little shocked that she was the one sent home and not Katie. To me, Katie has a better voice, but Lily is older and more confident. If Katie can put the confidence with the voice, she could do well.
How Tim Urban stayed this week over Todrick I really do not understand.
I also felt really, really bad for Alex Lambert. I hope he doesn’t give up and maybe someone will take him under their wing and move him forward.
I was surprised that Andrew Garcia squeaked thru. He better step it up.
I agree with you about Lilly. She was just ok, I would never bought an album of hers.
